The Cornerstone Cafe at Trinity United Methodist Parish is a monthly coffeehouse that started in October of 2008. It began when Jim Schoonmaker lost his original venue after he booked Mitch McVicker to return to the Newburgh area. Three ladies, Jane Schlappich, Jennifer Van Buren and Barbara Benedict as well as a few other helping hands transformed the Trinity fellowship hall into a coffeehouse setting where Mitch performed to a packed house. That night it was decided that once a month this coffeehouse setting would host local, regional or national musical acts. And so, years later, our goal with this ministry is to provide a wholesome entertainment venue to the greater Newburgh area. We invite you to join us the first Friday of each month as we host local Christian musicians and artists as they share their talents, testimonies, and Love for our Savior Jesus Christ in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Come as you are and be refreshed.
As you fellowship please feel free to enjoy the wonderful baked goods and desserts as well as fresh brewed Land of A Thousand Hills Coffee, and a variety of hot teas and other refreshments. All are welcome!
